Nicole Pecharsky

Nicole Pecharsky is thrilled to join the esteemed team at Bottos Law Group as an Associate focused solely on defending individuals in criminal or quasi-criminal matters.

Nicole grew up in small-town central Alberta before locating to Edmonton in the pursuit of post-secondary education. In 2020 she graduated from MacEwan University and received a Bachelor of Science with distinction in mathematical sciences. During her undergraduate degree, Nicole was able to hone her analytical skills, logical thinking, and problem solving.

Nicole graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law with distinction in 2024. During law school, Nicole focused on criminal and regulatory law completing courses in advanced evidence, criminal procedure, advanced criminal law, and mental health and the law. For her written advocacy work in the area of medical malpractice, Nicole was awarded the Jennifer A. Miller QC Prize in Health & Safety in 2023.

During her summers in law school, Nicole worked as a research assistant at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Through this work, Nicole was able to further develop her research and writing skills as applied to emerging and complex areas of criminal and regulatory law. For her dedicated and diligent research work, Nicole was awarded the Roger S. Smith Undergraduate Student Research Award. Her work has contributed to three academic publications:

Prior to joining Bottos Law Group, Nicole completed her articles under prominent criminal defence lawyer Brian A. Beresh K.C. During her articles, Nicole gained experience assisting with serious cases involving allegations of drug trafficking, aggravated assault, sexual assault, and murder.

Nicole understands that being charged with a criminal or regulatory offence can be a stressful and overwhelming process. She is passionate about guiding individuals through the criminal justice system with kindness, care, and resolute advocacy.
